Hello everyone, Melanie Blackburn here and I’m very excited to be sharing a mini album today on Wilna’s blog. I have a new found love for mini albums, they are such a great way to be creative and showcase multiple pictures. We recently had a family photo session and thought a mini album would be the ideal choice to display my favorite pictures. To create the base of the album I used 12x12 white cardstock, which I trimmed to 4 inches in height. Then I scored the paper at 3inches, I realized that my album wasn’t long enough, so I trimmed another 4inches by 12inches piece of white cardstock. I adhered both length of paper to create a 20 inches long mini album. I had originally planned to only use one side of the album but quickly realized that I had a lot of pictures, therefore I created the album using both sides of the cardstock. I kept all the pictures to the same size and first decided the location of each picture. Once this was established all that was left to do was to have fun and embellish. To keep a cohesive design I introduced gold accents throughout the album along with similar in color embellishments. I love the end result and how it can be displayed on a mantel for everyone to see. Hope you’ve enjoyed my project, thank you Wilna for having me!!!
