hello week....

i am serious when I say that my week is only beginning now. Where did Monday and Tuesday go? As I am typing, I am listening to United's new album: "All of the above" All I can say is run and get it. It's awesome. I also made a huge discovery these last few days. I have been struggling with the idea of documenting our lives for such a long time. It's easy when you only have one child to make pages of what you eat and what you wear and a day in the life of... but with 3 girls and a hectic schedule, and my brain that functions optimal when my environment is organised and at peace and all the hidden places are dusted and the papers are filed... IT"S NOT POSSIBLE. I tell you. For months this thing just knocked my knees in. And then yesterday while I was making pages and watching one of my favorite movies of ALL time, it hit me. And I mean TOTALLY came to me. I don't love scrapbooking as much as I love ART. I don't nearly love documenting stuff and much as I love the creative process. I am not a scrapbooker, I am an artist first. Yeah, I know I am always the last one to found out stuff like that. But it did make me very happy. And hopefully if you see what I am busy doing, it will make you happy too.

I read some Jane Austen quotes online and cracked up. Very enjoyable. But my favorite quote from her is one that I discovered in the J.A. novel I am presently reading: Persuasion. Please enjoy with me: " A Lady, without a family, was the very best preserver of furniture in the world" I laughed out loud when I read that one. HA!

A thought for today. I have been thinking on this word and it's my prayer for you and me:
1 Thess 3: 13
So that He may strengthen and confirm and establish your hearts faultlessly pure and unblamable in holiness in the sight of our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) with all His saints (the holy and glorified people of God)! Amen, (so be it)!

Be blessed
Wilna

I'm with you on trying to keep up! I have a zillion pictures (of my one child) and trying to scrapbook and clean my house and do all the things I want .... yikes! It's fun to just scrap the pics that inspire us to do art I think. Thanks for the quote and the prayer! I just read Jane Austen's Persuasion and loved it! Amazing to be touched by someone who lived in the 1800s. Hopefully our art will touch people long after we are gone too - unless Jesus comes back .... do you think we could scrap in heaven too? =)

Yeah...I have found myself thinking that too...I have actually been branching out into some sewing and working with canvases, and I feel like the creativity is coming back into my veins. And I love Jane Austen quotes. I am glad to hear that I am not the only one that struggles with scrapping when the chores aren't done and the house isn't quite clean for the day.

Hi Wilna, I tag you ...

The rules:
Start with 7 random facts/habits about yourself. People who are tagged have to write their 7 things on their blog. Then choose another 7 people to get tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave them a comment to tell them they have been tagged and to read your blog ...

Hugs Vanda (AKA Moneypenny) :O)

It is great to remember/find what motivates us; what we love about the things we do. It sort of has a way of filling up the well again.
