out of me. You just cant. I still consider myself African. And being a South African, I grew up watching rugby with my dad every single Saturday. I was 9 years old when i knew every position and function of that position. I love it. Jaco and I are fanatic Bulls supporters and this weekend they are playing in the final of the Super 14 cup. In the Orlando stadium. wait for it... SOWETO. This is such a huge milestone for South African rugby. As you might or might not know, the world cup soccer starts in South Africa in a couple of weeks and all the mayor stadiums are being groomed for the event. So rugby takes a back seat and the final are being played in Soweto. The semi final was in the same stadium last weekend and these images makes me tearful with joy: Seeing white and black together supporting our team. this first picture is totally classic.
The winner of the jewelry is: Hayley (11:45am comment). Please email me your address and I will mail it all out to you asap.
my blood is blue for the next 24 hours.

Cute cute! Happy Friday:-)
All these pictures are up im ,y classroom, and many more! Makes me proud to be African and gives me so much hope for our country!! GO BULLS!!!!
I am a stormers fan myself, but an all South African final? Means we're winners anyway.
Great pics, I agree Wilna! Go Bulls!! We have our Bulls flag flying outside our house today. My dad put it up yesterday- he decided we need to get into the spirit!
Last week he also hung a Bafana Bafana flag and SA flag outside the house in support of the World Cup. They're supposed to be for the car window, but he hijacked them for the gate('scuse the pun).
I live in Blue Bull country and I won the vintage jewelry from Wilna-How lucky can a girl get -although I must confess I'm only a Bulls fan for as long as they can hold onto Victor Matfield!!!!!
There are flags EVERY-where! On every street corner, on cars (yep),Lycra ones - covering cars side mirrors (cool), international ones LINING every inch of the R24 from OR Tambo international airport. On offices, schools, homes. HUGE blue ones flying out of 4x4 bakkie windows . . . It's a thrill to see it all coming together.
Hey Wilna.
I hear you. 18 months ago we moved from Jozi to Australia. My husband's last job in SA was to be the project manager for Orlando Stadium. He built it. I cant tell you what it felt like to sit here in Aus and watch them play this game at his stadium. We moved countries for our daughter's future, but sitting there watching that makes the african part of you swell with pride. They say we ran away, but it doesnt mean we dont have pride in our country of birth. Bittersweet.
