it's Valentine!

As you can see in this blog's name, my photography studio and  just my life in general, I love hearts! So, Valentine is one of my favorite times of the year. I adore this year's Starbucks Valentine cup and held on to 2 of these to make 2 projects: The first project is a Coffee Album. I absolutely cannot resist these albums and just had to make one. I used the starbucks cup but had to make a few alterations as the HEART would have been on the back cover. I will explain the how to after the pictures:

How I had to modify this album:

1. 1. The heart with the word LOVE is actually on the back end of the cup. So, I flattened the cup and cut out the part that you see in the pictures.
2. 2. Using a piece of chipboard, I folded it in half and traced + cut the love part to it. Make sense? Please ask your questions in the comments if my explanation is not clear enough.
3. For the embellishment on the front I used tulle... a long piece folded in 4. and in the middle of the four layers i added these gold leaves (i found them at Michaels). To keep it in place I stitched it right in the middle. - with silver thread.
4. The pages is actually just 2 pages (4 sides) and in the middle I added a paper heart from 2 different kinds of paper.
