me and the tax

*sigh* i have been sorting and filing the whole day today. But the end is in sight and once the filing is done, i will be able to do my tax in no time. i even designed back covers for my files, so that they are all the same.

Oh, and the new banner. i was just tired of the old one. one of these days it's NEW YEAR!! YAY! i have been thinking of the new year for a while now and i am very excited. i have a list of aspirations and intentions... and YOU? let me know what's your new year aspirations and intentions! one is definitely for me to get fit! as you know (or not) i hurt my knee ligament while skiing and i have an appointment at the physio tomorrow. and then i will also see someone that will help me with an exercise program. i. am. doing. it!! this year! we are planning to go visit in South Africa in October and that's a great goal to be working towards.

right now i am reading Under cover by John Bevere and i am memorising Phil1:9-11 So this is my prayer: that your love will flourish and that you will not only love much but well. Learn to love appropriately. You need to use your head and test your feelings so that your love is sincere and intelligent, not sentimental gush. Live a lover's life, circumspect and exemplary, a life Jesus will be proud of: bountiful in fruits from the soul, making Jesus Christ attractive to all, getting everyone involved in the glory and praise of God.

love and a kiss
Wilna

Ah, my dear Wilna! Everyday I've been meaning to get on here to chat with you, but alas, my days have been full and overflowing!

Thank you so much for the RAK! It is so lovely and Katie wishes to have it for herself! NOT!

I hope that you had a most wonderful Christmas season! Ours here has been full and overflowing. Last week we received an early Christmas present that I was unable to tell you earlier. See, there was one thing I wanted for Christmas that only God could really supply haha...and since God really does love us so much and just loves to give us good things...we shall be expecting an addition to our family next August...now how is that for a Christmas present??!!

We are most delighted with this news and now with finally telling our families at Christmas, I was finally at liberty to tell you too!

Anyways, I must get ready to go here....hope you are having a most wonderful week!!!

Wilna, My intention is to make myself more available to God this year. I tried my hand at painting a path for my journaling "ala Wilna"....and posted it on my site....www.melissasalomon.com
Do you scan in your layouts? I take a photo but have noticed that when you click on your layouts they zoom in but not so on mine. Is that why? Also, when you do a new image banner do you design it in another program? I use Photoshop elements but don't know it well and haven't figured out how to do this.
Blessings,
Melissa

Dear Wilna - THANK YOU!!!! so much for my bday pressie. I am covering it with DCfix so that the ink doesn't rub off..... I love your new banner. Yes, I too have to do the fitness thing this year. I tore the ligaments in my ankle in September and twisted it twice since then. It is still swolen but i trust it will be much better this new year. I am still doing kickboxing with the kids so hopefully that will sort out my fitness regime for 2007. Love ya tons - hope to see you in October.

hi Wilna! i'm so excited for 2007 a year of *hope*...2006 was a year of *joy*, my first nephew, Jaxson, was born with a cleft lip and palette. he'll have some surgeries in 2007, he's such a little blessing to us and has completely captured my heart.

as for me...i so want to draw closer to the Lord. to listen for His soft voice guiding and teaching me in all areas of my life. to praise Him in my art and just love!

God bless you and your family with a most amazing, wonderful, and peaceful 2007!

Wilna, Happy New Year to you and yours! As a bookkeeper, I am alllll toooo familiar with that tax stuff - my next few weeks are going to be very hectic. For the next year, aside from the usual attempts to get fit, clear the clutter, and keep a tidier house...I am going to really try to be more aware. Just more mindful, noticing what I say and ultimately trying to keep positive. Among the hustle and the bustle it's all too easy for me to get caught up in a whirlwind, and then I tend to complain and whine.
And I need to get a proper thank you to you, loved the post card - such a treat to have an original sampling of your lovely handwriting!
