Happy creative thoughts!

You will seldom hear me complain. I am much more the optimist-most-of the-time-up kind of person. But I tell you... I am in a creative groove that i want out of as soon as possible. every thing is such an effort. Know what i mean? maybe it's because I feel guilty that I have not finished our taxes!! and I am weary of keeping secrets! So, now I am giving you a sneak peek of a page I did for the Idol site. It will probably be up on wednesday! I am also eagerly anticipating the 50 pages on the IDOL site! Man, those technical glitches is building some serious character! .
On one happy creative thought, I did design a new banner for my blog for March! I love it and it's definitely got a spring feeling! I will do Fridays rak tomorrow!

Talk soon

Can't wait to see your new blog banner design! And I know what you mean about a creative funk - I'ver been struggling lately too! Think I'm snapping out of it a little bit - working on something that seems like it's finally coming together!
Have a great day! Oh, and what kind of flowers did you buy today? You do that on Monday's right? (spoken like a true stalker! LOL) My tulips from last week are on their way out - *sigh*!

Howdy!

next to nothing happened to declutter today.
we had tilers working on our kitchen floor.
luckily, we could eat dinner alfresco & chicken with salad was COOL.

Love the directness of the photo in your new LO Wilna,

Wilna I love everything you make! I love scrapping but every page for me is an effort - I can never figure out what to do.

Thanks for being an inspiration. Can't wait to start voting!

What a beautiful page Wilna! Nice picture of your daughter too. I have a question...when you have the time, I was curious as to what pen you use to write journaling with on paint...whenever I try this, (with my Zig writer) my pen doesn't work afterwards or I get half way through journaling and it dies on me. Just thought I'd ask as I see you do it all the time on your pages! :) Thanks!

Hoping you get out of your "funk" as people have been calling it and the creative juices start flowing again! Thanks for the sneak peak! Kim

Hello sweet, It's so funny that I've been experiencing the same thing. After the Idol defeat, everything I try to do just seems so unscrapworthy. It's disheartening when you spend hours on a layout and you're still not happy with it in the end. I feel like I just wasted hours of precious time. On the other hand, I have to hand it to you. You are the journaling queen. I'd like to try journaling more than a few lines sometime. By the way, I thought I read some where that you are in Canada now? Or are you still in South Africa? Where in this big wide world are you?

Hi Theresa!
We live in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada!!!

Whoa that picture doesn't even look like your daughters! I was gonna seriously ask you who that was LOL...but I see now that you've captured a pic of a grown up looking daughter of yours...yikes! I always freak out when I capture grown up looking pics of my kids...gotta keep them young for now haha!

Well the kids & I went through their room with a huge garage sale box in hand. It is now full to overflowing. Thankfully they are pretty good sports about it and very readily tell me what they play with and what they don't really like anymore...one day at a time...I will get the rest of the house sorted out too...

Have a great day!

I must admit I envy your confidence in using your own handwriting on layouts!

Patti said...

Okay, you really need to make your own handwriting into a font and share with your favourite bloggers!:)

The lo is marvelous by the way!!

Happy Monday!

...so IT (the groove thing) happens to the best of them. Just a little reassured to know that it hits everyone, not just me. I used to think it was weather related too. But here in India we dont have to deal with cold, still getting stuck creatively happens to me. Maybe it's just creative tiredness...

I know what you mean about things being such an effort. I went through that and decided to take a break and scraplift for a bit. I usually try and do original work and I'm pretty particular and I was pressuring myself too much and getting NOTHING done. So I picked a few of my favorites from magazines and scraplifted. I love how they turned out and it was just the break I needed. Good luck getting over your slump!
