YAY! it's mothers day... so all of you who are mommies... be blessed! And we are also celebrating Scrap in Style TV's launch Monday midnight. So, most of the girls on the design team is having some blog parties!

I just did a layout on a little boy who inspires me to be a happier person, the journaling reads:When I am driving into base from the housing I pass the elementary school. There is some swings in the playground area. Every day around 5p.m. there is a autistic boy swinging there. He waves to all the cars and smiles at the people. I could be in the worst mood and right then, when I see him, my whole attitude changes. He makes me smile and so happy. I feel so carefree, nothing bothers me. He makes my day! I have never met him, but I hope he knows that he makes a difference in at least one person-just with a wave and smile.

My husband and family inspire me. They inspire me to be and do my best and have a great time and enjoy life and each other NOW.

I'm inspired by my son - he's only 6 and has already survived childhood cancer - he's an inspiration to my everyday living. I'm also very inspired by music - i love to look into the lyrics and see what the artist may have meant and what it means to me. I'm currently obsessed with Kenny Chesney. His Be As You Are album came out right when my son was diagnosed with cancer and it was my escape - it gave me somewhere else to be - it gave me hope for a brighter future when the present was really dim. Everything and anything...depends on the day - usually another artist and always my kids!!
Well, a few things that inspire me are:
1. color - I've been into muted greens, oranges, tans, and blues lately, but I love the bright colors I see on other people's layouts.
2. fabric - I love the texture and I love using it on my cards and layouts.
3. music - There is such great music out there that makes me want to create and dance.
4. words - I love reading other people's journaling and books with such touching sentiments. It makes me want to write.
5. product - There is some great product that I have to get in my hands just so I can use it. :) I love looking at it and seeing what others have done with it. But I definitely want to put out my take on it.

I also get inspiration from believe it or not magazines. Not scrapbooking magazines but any. The other day I was flipping through a Rachael Ray magazine and got an idea for a layout!

Music also inspires me. I love to have something on to get my creative juices flowing!! I also must mention, my sister Jen is one of my biggest inspirations. She is a great scrapper but also a great friend :)
I'm with the person who said music inspires! Listening to music I love makes me want to create, dance and sing! Also, watching old movies on DVD or TCM will find me scrapping for hours without realizing it! Best of luck with tmrw - see you there!
