Friday RAK!

Hi sweet girls! It's Friday and everybody is heading out for the lakes in saskatchewan (did you know there is a 100 000 lakes in Saskatchewan alone?) but we are staying home in anticipation for our holiday in August. So no hanging lips here. This weekend is the Live earth event which I think will accomplish some good towards a better earth. Tomorrow is 7-7-7. Is that not an awesome day?

AND i am doing a little RAK today. Leave me a comment telling me what's up in your life and I will choose a number on MONDAY and send you some AWESOME scrapbook product. I promise you will drool.

A thought for today is: Matt 28-30"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly."

This page is also to celebrate Louie and Glen's marriage, HAPPY DAY!

Love and a kiss
Wilna

Oh I think I have just gained a little more inspiration from that passage from Matt 28-30. "learn the unforced rhythms of grace"... what a beautiful sentiment..
Today I am going to be busy, like all days, making sweet, decadent treats, like blissful brownies, homemade ice creams, water ices, and gooey and delicious fresh baked cookies.
And of course, i offer most of my treats in "low sugar and low fat" varieties that taste just as yummy
So I am looking forward to a great 7-7-07 and wish you blessings and peace.

Hey SISter! I, too, love the "thought for today." Today, I'm working on making detailed price comparison lists for my company before we start actually ordering stuff...loads of fun, let me tell you :)

What is going on with my life - I am training for the Breast Cancer 3 day walk that is in August - it is 60 miles. I am walking in support of my friend Lauren who was diagnosed with it 2 years ago while pregnant with their 3rd child. It has moved to her lungs, brain and hip. She has such a fantastic spirit. I am helping her pack this weekend as she is moving forward with putting up a full addition on her house. What an undertaking. I have nothing to complain about when you she what other people are struglling with everyday.

Love you wedding layout

Appreciate all the art you are posting to your blog and that is a great banner you have.

What is going on in my life, is a big question.
As a transplanted Canadian living in Australia, I find that winter in the tropics is delightful. I like to get out and play in the sunshine as much as time permits.

Working full time in the city does not a leave much time for creativity but I squeeze in minutes here and there too keep things moving around the work table. Which by the way, I should be doing, not cruising the internet again, but inspirational sites like yours are good fun to visit.

We just adopted a Saint Bernard from saintrescue.org. My husband is off from work for part of the summer so we have been spending tons of time with the kids and our new family member, Bo. THis weekend is the ParkFest for our community so if the rain lets up we will go to see the fireworks and take the kids on a few rides. It's been a busy summer but so far, it's been so rewarding and blessed!

Hi Wilna
Dit voel of my lewe vir die eerste keer in 3 maande weer 'normaal' is, en exciting daarby, want dit voel of ek in 'n nuwe huis bly. Ons weet dit kom net van die Here af, Hy het vir ons die vermoeë gegee om dit te doen!
Geniet jou naweek!

Hi,
Here in South Florida it's the rainy season, so every afternoon it rains! That is a good thing; just put off the shrub trimming too long today. I am going through my things to scrap a couple of my homemade Mother's Day cards to my Mom. Thank goodness she saved them. Loved the way you used the new SIS kit!

In my life? Well, I am currently proofing the galleys of the August 2007 issue of the International Journal of Music Education: Research, so that's interesting... if a bit tedious. :-)

And working on a paper for my abnormal psychology class...

And participating in the Short Order Cook off at Scrapbook Takeout--that about sums it up! :-)

Oh--and for the first time ever, I get to play with the praise band at church on sunday. THis is a big deal, b/c I always sang and played at my home church, but it was an itty bitty place. I've been too scared to participate here, it's so huge, but I'm filling in for someone this week, and am very excited to be serving this way again. :-)

Dear Wilna,

I have been following your scrapping, your blog and therefore parts of your life since before the MM idols, and I can say that you are a true inspiration to those of us who's religion is being tested. You stay steadfast in your beliefs and you put all trust in God. You are an inspiration to me. My mother had a tumour removed from her chest area last year and received radiation treatment for the leftover pieces that the doctors couldn't reach. She was cleared in November last year of any cancer or tumour residue. You ask where we are in our lives today? Well here I am. I'm waiting for our good Lord to speak to me. My mom went for another scan on wednesday and was told today that the tumour is back. She cannot have radiation anymore as she had the maximum amount her body can take last year, and so this year she must have chemotherapy and another chest operation to remove the tumour. This is what's up in my life today... I am asking the question 'Why?' I am asking what lesson are we supposed to get from this? Today you can find me at the end of the rope where my faith runs thin. But today I looked at your blog and I saw your bible reading. My faith does not run thin anymore. Thank you dear lady for your inspiration and grace that you share with us all. Thank you dear Wilna.

I don't need a scrapbooking rak, but I will leave you a quick note :D Love the pic of you guys from the wedding...I posted a quick note there :D I really like your new 3 column blog as well...very nice.

What's up with me these days?? Well mostly baby prep and still working at getting everything unpacked and settled in. Trying to tie up loose ends in every area of life so that when the twins get here, I won't be having to worry about anything other than them haha! So yea...that's about it :D

Today is too warm and I'm hanging out in my basement...I think we're going to get central air put in so we can enjoy our house this summer. It's so hard to enjoy a new house when you can't stand the heat. We were so spoiled with central air in our other house for 5 years haha!

Anyways, hope you have a great day!

Wilna, you are so sweet to RAK and I love your page, too!

We are enjoying the sun here in the Northwest portion of the USA...a treat after so much rain. Right after I catch up with our circle, I'm going to look for a new picnic backback...something I've been wanting for a while. Then, we can take our picnics beyond the park and hike to beautiful places. I can't wait!

Hope you and you family are well and thanks so much for holding a RAK...you ROCK!

Not doing much the rest of this summer, working and relaxing when I can. And enjoying my family in the here and now.

I got to go home to Colorado after 2 years to see my mom and dad. It was so nice to be there and see them and 2 of my brothers. We took the northern route from Kentucky up to the Mall of America-which is a vacation in itself, it is just so big. Then went to South Dakota and saw Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse monuments. That was just wonderful. I told my kids maybe in their lifetime Crazy horse with be complete and they will tell their kids they saw it when the head was almost done and the arm was started. Hopefully, the kids will remember these road trips we take every coupld of years. I know I sure love them.

Hello sweet,

Guess what?? I think we're getting an offer on our house today!! We put our house on the market a few weeks ago. Today we showed it to a nice family for a second time and got a call from our realtor saying they would like to make an offer! I knew an offer would come because as I was mopping the floor last night, that still small voice (God) spoke to me and said "Your house is going to sell. Prepare to move." I stood back in amazement and got so excited and told my husband, "We're selling our house!!" Sorry I went into all that but I'm so excited!!!

Love you. Thanks for the scripture!
