It's amazing how sometimes when you take time to sit and think, you realize that the storm is calm. This might sound funny to you, but it's something I have experienced this past week. It was just that there was a storm in my heart and mind for weeks. Where I had to speak the Word constantly and remind myself through my faith to stand. And then I came to a place where my prayer was not take the storm away, but rather, God, teach me and harden me to these circumstances. You see, I really believe that God sometimes takes us through things (like Psalm 23 states) but He builds our character and our faith. And then, a few days back I realized the peace that transcends all understanding was pitched like a tent over me. And I am thankful. Peace is one of the most precious possessions in this time and age. A peace that knows no fear, that settles with finality every question that arise in our hearts and minds. That peace which teaches us not to permit ourselves to be fearful and cowardly and unsettled.

So, the feeling I have now is one of expectation. All my design work is done. I am cleaning house. Yesterday I started with my scrapbook room. Today I will start on the laundry. But after I have coffee with my friends. Of course that's a bigger priority.

What's on your mind today?
Peace to you.

peace in the MIDST of the storm

I love that peace!!! Our house seems to be a whirlwind of activity and yet there is a peace in it all. Even Mike's Mom commented on how peaceful our house seems even with having two new babies in it. That's God! As we trust Him, it doesn't matter where He leads us...His peace will surround our hearts and our minds. The world looks entirely different when we can view it through peace-colored glasses LOL!

Anyways, hope you're having a great day!!

Wow, I felt the same way. Yesterday I was driving and it was raining. I've been praying and trying to get close to God but it seems there is this wall between us. I mean, I just couldn't feel his spirit in my heart. So I prayed for the wall to go away and I asked for forgiviness for anything that was keeping us separated. And seriously, the clouds parted in one spot. The sun came through and touched me. And I knew it God. My heart filled up with his spirit and I was so happy. I've been wanting to tell someone. So, I'm telling you. Thanks for sharing your faith. Oh, by the way I love your work. Your a great artist.

it saddens me to have to mention, but peace & safety is so sorely needed in our communities.
so much suffering, anxiety, sickness. Daily miracles are also evident, but to ignore the other things one needs to "make like an ostrich".
Please pray, for sanity in our leaders, our beautiful country.

Thank you for always sharing the Word so meaningfully. Your words, which are actually His words, really spoke to me today. God bless you.

We're leaving EARLY tomorrow morning for a long-weekend at the Kruger Park. Can't wait to experience the quiet, peaceful surroundings of the South African Bush!
I had all my best girlfriends over for lunch today to celebrate my 34th birthday. I wrote each of them a note, which I put at each one's place at the table. Writing those notes last night made me realise, I am so blessed to have such wonderful people in my life. My heart is at peace for where I am right now in my life.

Your words are beautiful Wilna. I have been dealing with a lot of stress lately, and this was a nice reminder that I am not alone, and that help is only just a prayer away!

I'm so glad to see that you were able to receive peace in the storm.
I can only imagine how stressful it would be to get a family of 5 overseas and yet get ready for your class!
Boo-hoo, I wish I could take your class too! Please let us know if we can order kit a perhaps from you for your class or order the instructions?
God's blessings and protection during your trip and His favor in your class.
