South Africa...

Ok, so we are home. Josias and I went for a walk early - 6:30 to my favorite breakfast spot here and we sat and looked at the day breaking. And we experienced the cold on our faces. I am so thankful. We had such an awesome blessed time in South Africa. Fall has arrived in Canada and the trees are turning yellow. It's so beautiful.
I am also uploading pictures and here is a few from the first batch. My brother is a huge canon fan and he got this awesome lens... I have to ask him to email me the specs. He is all for technique and I am all for "the moment" pictures so there you can see a happy debate coming. Anyway, he took some pictures of us... and it felt like the paparazzi was following me around. snort.

Josias and Josias. Yep, this is our friend Daniel Josias and he was the best man at our wedding and one of our best friends! (Stefanie's hubbie for those who are trying to connect the dots). They are both blue bull fans and Daan borrowed us his Merc to drive around with in South Africa. As my husband is such a huge merc fan, imagine the smile on his face all the time. Thanks Daan!!!


Karina, Maryna, Wilna and Stefanie. I can honestly say these are my best friends in the world. we have been walking together in faith and friendship for years and years and it's just such a blessing to know that they love the Lord and honour Him in all their ways. When I saw them again, it was like yesterday and we just picked up life where we left it off when we came to Canada. we spend the week on Daan and Stefanie's game farm and had a fantastic time. I know for sure that the bush is something that I miss dearly and I loved and cherished every minute of it.

Evidence that we were away for 2 and a half years was not so much the fact that we looked older, but the babies that came in the mean time that I have never met! Funny enough, all 3 friends had babies and here they are. I have so many pictures to scrapbook. I feel like a mosquito in a nudist camp. I know what to do, but not where to start!! I want to make everyone who made this such an unforgettable experience something but I think in the end I will just make something for me and show it to them!

Here we are in the bush. I love the song Sonvanger by Theuns Jordaan. I must say that it really felt that we caugh us a piece of the sun. On this spot we are standing, Daan and Stefanie are going to build their home. They made that final decision just when we were there and we are so excited for them. I know for sure that if we endeavour to build God's house first, He will build ours and that's the season our friends are moving into.



Lastly for today, I want to show you a favorite picture of our wonderful experience riding elephants. It was one of the most amazing experiences ever and I will cherish it as long as I live. This really gives meaning to that saying that it's not the amount of breaths you take that counts but the amount of times that takes your breath away.

So, today I am unpacking and resting and I am going to try and see if I can make a movie clip of all our experiences. Wish me luck.
