Saturday morning.

Hello! This morning I woke up with a huge void that only God can fill. I think this past week just flew past me and left me empty and drained. So I took my Bible and my iPod and my nikes and went for a long walk to my favorite coffee shop. It was wonderful. We all go through times and things that takes the breath out of us. That dims the light in our eyes and makes our hearts heavy. If that is you today, then read on.
I just realized that because we can't SEE God, that doesn't mean that He is not there. Thomas wanted to see and feel Jesus. He wanted some answers now. And know what? John 20: 29 Jesus said (to Thomas) "So, you believe because you've seen with your own eyes. Even better blessings are in store for those who believe without seeing." That's what faith means: simply perceiving/trusting that God is... even if we don't see Him. Yet, above all, God is our salvation. Man will betray you and let you down. But He will not. I think as believers we are constantly faced with the decision to make Him number one and not any man/woman/child/things. This is GOOD news. Isa 12: 2"Yes, indeed—God is my salvation. I trust, I won't be afraid. God—yes God!—is my strength and song, best of all, my salvation!"

God is the only answer to all our questions. May those of us who seek a bit of heaven today find it in a quiet place... at His feet.

Have a wonderful weekend.
peace
Wilna

You could not be more right. So happy that you share your faith. I felt the exact same way this last Wed. and with all my kids out of school I had let the hustle and bustle pull me away from the One that needs to be my everything. I ended up in Hebrews reading about faith. Heb 11:1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. I love how He weaves all these things (like your blog entry) together to reveal Himself and increase my faith. Thank you for being obedient and letting Him use you. A sister in Christ - Michelle

Hi Wilna! Fritz & I just returned from a WONDERFUL, Spirit-filled weekend: a marriage enrichment course. What a blessing it was on our marriage, but also on 11 other marriages! We were so blessed to experience a piece of heaven this weekend. Wonderful just to be able to spend time with each other, in the presence of GOD!! And God really spoke to us & showed us new things, using the speakers (Gustav & Elna Muller) as His instruments.
Love - ingrid

"Man will betray you and let you down. But He will not."

This is exactly what I heard in church this morning. And it is very hard to put it into perspective. Just like you said - It is a decision we have to conciously make every day. Glad to know I am not the only one thinking about these things!

Hope you felt better after your walk.

PS: I didn't mean lost your way with Him, just lost your happiness...when I reread my post, I realized it didn't come out as I meant it.

(crazy, worried, nutty me...)

Wilna, I love this layout of you daughter. How did you make the "chip away" edge around her? Is this a digital layout? Thanks for a reply...
