I got a new 50mm lens today... andhave been snapping away at anyone and everything that will be still for long enough. Sigh. For me: forget the mall. Forget shoes. Buy me something geekish and I am super happy.
Oh, and I got a flash too... that's still in the box. I will take it out when I have time to read the instruction manual.

Beautiful, beautiful picture of Tia! So soft and pretty! I also have a 50mm f2.4 lens and I love it! Makes any ordinary portrait just a little extraordinary! Im with you on the geeky gifts. The girls in my office just don't get it. They prefer bling - lots of bling! All I want is a new lens / tripod / hard disc / tablet .... :)
