oh JOY!

with the season of JOY upon us... here are a few joy ponderings... because I need some joy today and you just might be needing some too...

*Psalm 16: 11 You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy
*Isa 61: 3 To grant [consolation and joy] to those who mourn in Zion--to give them an ornament (a garland or diadem) of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment [expressive] of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit--that they may be called oaks of righteousness [lofty, strong, and magnificent, distinguished for uprightness, justice, and right standing with God], the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.
*John 16: 24 Up to this time you have not asked a [single] thing in My Name [as presenting all that I AM]; but now ask and keep on asking and you will receive, so that your joy (gladness, delight) may be full and complete.
*Neh 8:10 And be not grieved and depressed, for the joy of the Lord is your strength and stronghold.
* Rom 15: 13 May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope.
* Col 1:11 strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy;
* 1 Peter 1: 8 Without having seen Him, you love Him; though you do not [even] now see Him, you believe in Him and exult and thrill with inexpressible and glorious (triumphant, heavenly) joy.
*Psalm 51: 12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and uphold me with a willing spirit.
