Art Class.

I teach art at our school on Thursdays and i love it. I love working with the kids and see how they interpret things. I will not consider myself the best teacher, but i enjoy the interaction with the children a lot. Last Thursday I took Mac to school and the assignment was to draw Mac. Levi did this drawing. He is 6 years old and I totally loved it. when I told him i am going to put it on my blog, Levi said:" I am now famous." How precious!

Our school's biggest week is well under way. We have a winners invitational challenge every year with about 150 kids coming from 7 different schools to participate and compete in all kinds of events. This afternoon Tia has her piano solo and a vocal solo. She ran the 100m and 200m dash this morning. I will be judging art, piano and dance this year. It's like a week long camp at school... the good thing for me is...my house is clean + i don't have to cook for the whole week!

This is another page I made for freehand scraps. I love the sassafras papers. In fact I loved everything about it. In this industry where one can sometime work so hard at other things you forget to scrapbook for yourself. So, I enjoyed just relaxing and making pages for me.

Another note... if you have Photoshop elements you HAVE to get some of the free actions. They are amazing. I will talk more about it some time. But I downloaded a new one yesterday and it's fabulous. Cant wait to play with it. Let me know if you would be interested in a little video on how to use and install these actions. Then i will think about doing one in the weeks to come.

Right. Now I need some coffee. This morning i found myself praying these Words to God:
Psalm 119 169-176 Let my cry come right into your presence, God;
provide me with the insight that comes only from your Word.
Give my request your personal attention,
rescue me on the terms of your promise.
Let praise cascade off my lips;
after all, you've taught me the truth about life!

Have a wonderful day.

Yes, yes, Yes on the photoshop video. I love your blog and your art scraping knowledge and the fact that you are into God. That's so cool. Not everyone is so out in the open about God as you are. I see you listen to Jason Upton. He's amazing.
That scripture is amazing.
Keep up the good work. Im in your Blog Bling class right now and very far behind. very excited to get moving on it though.

Thank-you for sharing your prayer this morning, its is beautiful and powerful.

PS. I had a most beautiful day Monday outside in the sun, with my girls, on a picnic, and I hugged them tight and thanked God out loud!

Love your post and your Word. So cool that you're teaching art -- the kids are soooo blessed to have you as an art teacher!

=) XOXOXO!
