The weekend in pictures...

we had a great weekend... we just relaxed and ate and chatted. when I saw Ali's weekend creative challenge, I tough it was a wonderful way to capture the whole weekend in pictures on one page.
Credits: Ali's Template and words: DesignersDigitals.

Today I want to give away a RAK of all the Making Memories beautiful wedding papers. It's so beautiful all in black and white... not only useful for wedding pages, but also for cards and any page where you want some elegance and simplicity. Please leave me a comment and tell me what you did this weekend.

A thought for today: Phil 1: 9-11So this is my prayer: that your love will flourish and that you will not only love much but well. Learn to love appropriately. You need to use your head and test your feelings so that your love is sincere and intelligent, not sentimental gush. Live a lover's life, circumspect and exemplary, a life Jesus will be proud of: bountiful in fruits from the soul, making Jesus Christ attractive to all, getting everyone involved in the glory and praise of God.

Hello Wilna, I found your blog via Ali's so I thought I would pop in and say hello. Looks like you had a great time away. My weekend started with baking on Saturday morning followed by making an Accordion Album in the afternoon. Sunday was beautiful, blue sky, warm and no wind so we took the boat out for a run to the islands.
Cheers, Irene :)

This past weekend I had several nights alone (my DH was working nights), so I got a chance to do some serious scrapping! I worked on my daughter's baby album.

did you use what they call matrix 25 to make your picture collage...it's an action you use in photoshop. I have it but I have yet to use it. after seeing this I think I will give it a try.

I love all the pictures from your weekend...looks like lots of fun. I spent LOTS of time in my very waterlogged, muddy yard. It was a good time to pull weeds with the ground so soft. Got lots of flowers in pots and in the ground...I love spring!

I love that Bible passage! Which version do you use? I did absolutely nothing this weekend. It was glorious! Doesn't happen very often but so glad when it does!!

Wilna, I am happy for you that you are having this special family time.
We started by 2 days of purging, working toward more simplicity and preparing the condo for our upcoming move. Today, we went to see our grand-daughters, they wanted to spend the day watching movies in our brand new van! It was the best! We also visited with extended family members, then stopped at some friends' house for a surprise visit. After lunch in a tiny town, we went back home for a nap and some gardening. Tonight, my husband is watching the last show of "24" and I am scrapbooking. What a great weekend we had!

We went to a bunch of yard sales and I found lots of fun non traditional scrapbooking items. We had chocolate chip pancakes for lunch yesterday with whipped cream and strawberries! And did a ton of laundry. And I woke up to snow this morning!!! Crazy weather! Glad I didn't plant anything!

This sunday was Norway's national day, so this day started early getting our nice clothes on, walking in the parade, eating what icecream we wanted and just enjoying all of the day ;-)

Hi there, we relaxed indoors but with the warm South African sun shining through to ease the chill, and watched, yes you guessed it, rugby, the Sharks play the Bulls. But fun family time had by all.

I had a sleepover. My grandchildren spent the night on Friday. What a gift it is to see them every day of my life and have sleepovers whenever they feel like it. Went shopping for a new car - haven't found it yet, still looking. Best part of the weekend? Having all my children here to watch the Sharks and Blue Bulls play. What a game!!!!!! I nearly had a heart attack, but the Bulls won, so all is good:)Did some crafting, including crochet a blanket for my 4yo granddaughter's baby. She says that the baby is 'FREEZING, ouma, and she really NEEEEDS a blankie', so what was I supposed to do? I couldn't let the poor thing die now, could I?

On Saturday I did some errands and bought some things needed for the "Doing Life Scrap Day at Makaranga" on 13 June. Then I went to the Pavilion and did some of my own shopping. Had a scrapping afternoon as the rest of the family went to watch the rugby game at the stadium in Durban. On Sunday Dereck and I drove to Cathedral Peak (in the Berg) to visit my friend Desire and we spent the rest of the day there. Came home to a wonderful meal of cottage pie cooked by my son and his girlfriend. Busy preparing for my 25 wedding anniversary party on 15 June, so wedding type papers would come in very handy if I was lucky enough to win them. Thanks for the opportunity!!

Hi Wilna
Mal oor julle foto's. Kan sien julle kuier 'n hond-uit-'n-bos uit!
Liefde
Ingrid

Aloha Wilna, This weekend we went to a baby luau which is a big island tradition to celebrate a baby's first birthday. There was also the annual Hawaii Book & Music Festival, if only it had scrapbooking and photography it would be all my loves combined. And of course, time in the garden, hang time w/ the kids and cats. I watched the Preakness horserace, so fascinating. And for my husband, Stanley Cup playoffs!
