good friends....

This couple here are 2 of our best friends in all the world. Daan was the best man at our wedding and Stefanie and I went to the same primary school for 2 years: Mariepskop (waaaaayyyy back (1979 & 1980) we had our kids together (1997, 1999, 2001):

And in 63 days we will be taking a Disney Vacation together... for 24 days!  I don't know who is more excited, the kids or us. Because friendships like this is rare and beautiful. It stretches over time and time. It warms the heart. it makes you happy. It gives you wings. You know you are good friends when you are just as proud of their kids as you are of your own. Sigh. So thankful right now.

A bit of good news today to think about: Eph1:3 Let’s celebrate God! Every spiritual blessing in heavenly places has found its definition in the fact that we are associated in Christ. Remember that the most important event in the whole Bible was the death and resurrection of Christ! So, reading the Word outside of this context just doesn't make sense. "in Christ" is the pin word of the Bible. :  )
