Good day : ) + give away.

This is a picture of my desk this morning. I somehow missed the second favorite thing show and decided to buy the Magazine and see for myself all the wonderful goodies. I mean, who doesn't just love Oprah's favorite things show. + you can see all my Christmas cards ready to go to the mail box. I love making, ordering, addressing and stamping all those cards. It's just really one of my favorite things to do each year.

I am sooooo excited to tell you about this wonderful class by Shimelle: Journal your Christmas 2010. Click here to read more about this wonderful, warm and inspiring class. The GREAT news is that i am giving away one spot in this class today to one wonderful blog reader. Just leave me a comment telling me what is ONE OF YOUR favorite things about Christmas?

Psalm 27: 4 One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek, inquire for, and [insistently] require: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the days of my life, to behold and gaze upon the beauty [the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness] of the Lord and to meditate, consider, and inquire in His temple.

My favorite thing about Christmas is opening up my box of Christmas books. There are so many wonderful stories and only having them around once a year makes the appreciation and wonder so much greater!

OMG! I love those classes!
One of my favorite things about Christmas? Actually, I love our family traditions at 24th of December: decorating the Christmas tree morning, going to church, eating our traditional dinner, boxing all of the presents under the tree...

Thanks! Have a nice week, Wilna!

I love going to parents' house to help them put up their tree. They kept all the funny little ornaments we made during our childhood and still display them proudly eventhough the glitter has fallen off or the colors have faded...

One of the many things I love about Christmas is on Christmas Eve when it's really late, everything is done & I'm about to go to bed I look in on my 2 children as I do every night but knowing that 'this' night is different.......I wonder what they last thought before they fell asleep and what they're dreaming, the magic in their hearts makes me melt xxx

There are so many things about Christmas that are my favorite, but I think my very favorite is singing Christmas hymns at church and lighting the Advent candles. It's such a peaceful moment in what can be a crazy time of year.

I'm Jewish, so when you'll celebrate Christmas, we'll celebrate eight days of Hannukah.

The best thing about Hannukah is gathering all our family and loved ones every evning, for 8 days...

Thanks for the chance to win this cool class-spot (that for me will become a hannukah-journal, if that's ok with you :))

Thanks,
Sarit.

Great question! I enjoyed reading others' replies and agreethat there are so many things to love about the holiday season. My favorite of all is taking the time (amid what can be chaos) to sit with my children and reflect on the true meaning of Christmas and how that impacts us daily. This makes for humble and grateful hearts amid the frenzy!

Thanks!!

I love unpacking the ornaments and our Christmas angel - the kids know the stories of some of the ornaments bought before they were born. It's such a time of joy and love and fun when we unpack and decorate the tree!

I love Shimelle's style and have been thinking about doing a class with her. Would love to win it.

My fav thing is the fact that people appear to notice the things the seem to take for granted the rest of the year - spending time with family and making time for the important stuff.

Wilna, just one thing!? I JUST discovered paper...a Cricut machine as a result of my local Michaels ad...and FEELING memories! I've been a digiscrapper up till now. Now it's time to get dirty ;) And my favorite thing about Christmas is the special family closeness and memories that we will have forever!

So happy to have discovered your blog....from one South African to another (I'm now in Boston ;) I hope you have a wonderful memory-making season!

My favorite memories of Christmas are baking with my kids. Also this was the only time of year they really got along and didn't fight. They actually slept together every Christmas Eve until my son went off in the military. The excitement on kids faces as they talk about Christmas is a wonderful memory and always brings out the kid in me. Love this time of year. I hope you and yours have a Blessed Holiday!

I love our quiet family Christmas Eve, just me & my parents. We spend the day together, play games, take a walk, eat dinner & go to church in the evening. It's nice to have this special time together before our big family Christmas the following day.

Thanks for the chance to win a class place :)

I love it all! Its hard to pick the favourite. Right now, my 9yo daughter is singing and humming "Santa Claus is coming to town" in the background while she bakes cupcakes. She is home from school after a bad fall, probably with a broken nose. So right now my favourite thing is the "joy" and the "merry" that can be found if you choose it. It is in the prelude, the preparation and the day itself. I love that today, joy is overcoming her sadness.
