oh, for the cuteness

I made this project for Making Memories' slice Fabrique and loved every second. It's my second time I used this little owl and probably not my last one either! And guess what? These beautiful fabics? uh huh? From October Afternoon. My approach to making these little goodie bags was as follow:
  • I bought the little 8x8 bags at Walmart (3 in one packet)
  • For the owl I used the Slice Fabrique Animal frenzy design card. The size of the owl was set at 5".
  • The leaves was cut (different shapes and sizes) using the Applique Basic card.
  • I also used some Vintage Groove jewelry pieces to add some detail.
  • Oh and some buttons.
  • Next, I sew the pieces together on a background of plain fabric and then cut each piece out (like the completed owl and leaves etc) and then simply adhered it to the bags with embroidery floss.
  • I am a terrible seamstress. I really am. Don't look on the insides of the bags. (!!)
Just because I am so loving these bags, I am giving away a Slice Design card on my blog here... leave me a message and you can win the SUMMER design card. Please take not that this design card is NOT a fabrique card, but works with the paper Slice.

A bit of good news to remember today: The hardcore reality is: when you think that it cannot get any worse, it usually does. The TRUTH is: No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; he'll never let you be pushed past your limit; he'll always be there to help you come through it. (MSG 1Co 10:13)

love and a kiss

Love what you have done, it looks so cute. No one looks inside the bag so you are safe.
I have only used my Slice for the die cutting on paper, bought the embossing set but have not used it yet so have not gotten around to using it on fabric. You make it look so easy.
Thansk for offering a giveaway
Have a great day
Linda
PS : How's teh new house going?
