night ramblings...
It's 10 at night and i am listening to... ummm.... third day.... it's wonderful and blasting away here in this little space i call sanctuary. i am thankful for it. i spend hours here and as you know by now, music is such an integral part of who i am. i am in the process of working through a creative "junction". sometimes it feels that i have lost my ability to be creative. i am starved to start scrapbooking again. i am intimidated, if i can be totally honest. in my mind i have to do this then that then this before i can get creative. but then you get those kairos moments that you put thridday on, the house is quiet. you are released to be by yourself, and it's then that creativity just comes to you. i think i have settled on my class idea for designersnotes and the idea came from a card that i made for my Pastor over the weekend.
this is one song from TD that i really enjoyed tonight. I really wished i could find a clip of the music somewhere, but after an extended search i am ready to write the words:
When the rain comes it seems that everyone has
Gone away
When the night falls you wonder if you shouldn't
Find someplace
To run and hide
Escape the pain
But hiding's such a lonely thing to do
I can't stop the rain
From falling down on you again
I can't stop the rain
But I will hold you 'til it goes away
When the rain comes you blame it on the things that
You have done
When the storm fades you know that rain must fall
On everyone
Rest awhile
It'll be alright
No one loves you like I do
When the rain comes
I will hold you
my mom and dad is almost going on their last week visiting with us. : ( while they are still here, Jaku and i are breaking away one more time... going for a night on the town tomorrow night. we are going to Saskatoon again and sleeping the the Sheraton. i made some reservations at Carvers for dinner tomorrow night. but i will make sure to visit Calories and have a creme brulee on ya'll. i want to visit my favorite scrapbook store and get some goodies! what are all of you up to? still holding on to those new year intentions?
i want to leave you with a word that spoke to my heart so beautifully: Psalm 3: 3 But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. peace to you. be blessed. be loved.

How ironic, I was listening to "Mountain of God" by Third DAy as I was reading your blog! Love them, every time I hear one of their songs, I too, get inspired.. especially to do a layout..but I never act on it..lol maybe one day.
Enjoy your parents, and your time with Jaku! Hugs. ~Dawn

Hi Wilna...I just had Third Day's "Cry Out to Jesus" playing a second ago...love their stuff! One of my favorite happy songs is actually by Newsboys..."I Am Free". What a great song! It just makes me wanna stand up and dance through the whole house! Katie seems to be learning hew own love for music as well. Her current favorite song is "Friend of God"...she jumps on our rebounder here in the livingroom while that song is going, singing at the top of her lungs and jumping for all she is worth...it is so cute! If I can inspire anything in my children, I surely hope to implant the love of music and the understanding of the power of music...how it can really lift us out of one thing and place us in another...which is why I suppose we must be so careful as to what we are actually listening too haha! Oh my, I've turned to rambling again....ah well, I felt like sending you a note haha.
Thanks very much for that vitamin before bed tip...wow much better than in the morning! Now if only I could get it into a habit so I remember every day!!!
I am so sad to hear that your parents are going home so soon...I can't imagine being that far away from my parents since mine live 6 doors down...it truly makes me thankful for what I have seeing others who live at such a distance.
I'm so glad to hear that your creative juices are flowing haha! I know that they always will, so long as you put your trust in God and not in yourself (which I know you do).
Oh I just read Persuasion by Jane Austen! Wow, that was sad & happy at the same time haha, but I cried at the end lol...I'm such a sap...ah well...I quite loved it! I got a lot of her books for Christmas and I'm slowly making my way through them...that is the first one I've read that I had never read before...so I was quite captured by it...
Ok, this has turned into a rather long ramble and I really should get busy around here. I hope you're having an awesome day! I'm so excited about the meetings the next couple days...truly he is one of my favorite speakers and I always look forward to him coming every time...AH, I'm rambling again...I'm quitting now...have a great day!
Grace to you!
i LOVE that song...makes me cry when i listen to it...His love is truly amazing!

Thanks for being such an inspiration to let your light shine! Love love love your creative work!
