some medicine...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I was thinking last night that life sometimes just takes sudden and unexpected turns. Delightful turns. Making Memories are one of those for me. I did a little tips and tricks for the IDOL site. Have a look. And ask questions if you want more information (over there please!)

Just a quick post today to give you a little Calvin Medicine. and on the topic of MM. I have an extra copy of this book that I want to give away today! Please tell: if you were playing Survivor and could only choose 3 make-up products to take with you to an Island, what will you take?
I will definitely take my Ivory Base, My black mascara and my favorite: Artistry's Sheer Honey Lipstick. Tell me what's your favorites and I will let Jana pick a name tomorrow!

Calvin and Hobbs has been a family favorite for many years. And often times I would find myself in dire need of some laughing medicine and this is where I will spend an hour giggling and just restoring my humorous self. Enjoy!

Love Calvin and Hobbes... my favorites are when Hobbes attacks Calvin when he comes home. I have had tears running down my face at those... also love his snow creations! I was all gun-ho to enter the idol contest, but last night looked through my books and lost my mojo... how do you get past thinking, 'my stuff isn't what they want' I'm past thinking it's not good enough, b/c it's good enough for our family, I love my pages... Know what I mean?

Love Calvin and Hobbes...they always crack me up!

I love love love your page today! What a great layout! Soooo pretty!

Um, I could easily survive without makeup...I never wear it at home. If I go out I at the VERY least put on eyeliner, mascara and light lipstick/gloss. So I guess those would be the 3 'must have' items although I could live without them all haha!

Hope you're having a great day! Busy busy round here...

I can't go a day without my mascara, Burt's Bees chapstick, and...hmmm...lipstick.

Fun question!

OH MY GOODNESS!
I LOVE Calvin and Hobbes, my daddy got me addicted, and my hubby loves them too... for I while we had a cartoon on our office door that had Calvin selling something at a stand saying "Everyone I know needs what I'm selling"... a swift kick in the pants! LOL!!!

Oh, my husband looooves Calvin and Hobbes. I think he has the complete collection on his Amazon wishlist.

Let's see, if I were going to an island with only 3 things it would definitely be concealer, BE mineral veil, and my CO Bigelow mentha lip tint--the pink one.

I would take chapstick, definitely, some tinted moisturizer with sunscreen and some sparkly eyeshadow for fun :)

Great question!

I would most certainly take my mascara (being blonde my eyelashes are so light if I don't add color you can't see 'em), my Lip Difference, and ultra finish spf 15 foundation ... all 3 products by Aloette. And by the way I cannot tell you enough how you've uplifted my spirits with your well written blog and fantastic art (and I am not just saying that because I want to win!)

I saw your tip on photographing instead of scanning, so I went to try it out tonight. I think I'll have to wait until tomorrow to catch it in natural light. Hopefully my box will look better. Thanks for the tip!
I love C&H and also Dilbert.
About make-up:
Am I the only one in the world who doesn't wear mascara? I figure, why bother when I only have 3 eyelashes to put them on anyway! Ha!
1. Bare minerals foundation
2. Clinique cream shaper for eyes in Chocolate Lustre (this defines my eyes better than mascara and it's easier to wash off!)
3. Blistex lip balm in the green tube
I do not have this book. I would love to have a copy of it. Will you please stick a piece of candy to my name so that Jana will pick it?? LOL!

Have to tell you I so love Calvin and Hobbes...I was so happy when my son became old enough to enjoy with me, and get the humor. Did you know the writer is a recluse and paints these magnificent canvases which he then destroys? Truly eccentric, and so sad he didn't keep on sharing his humor with us.
Survivor...I think I'd need...
1. Oil of Olay moisturizer w/SPF 15
2. L'Oreal mascara
3. Just some basic brown eye shadow

I could NEVER last on Survivor. Never.

Hi, I don't do makeup. So I would bring moisturiser cream, aloe vera deoderant and tea tree oil in case of mishaps. You never know when you'll have a wee accident but if I haven't got my scrapping stuff then I'll probably be quite safe.

I'd love to win the book. So, If I were stranded on the island I would take my Mary Kay Anti-Aging lotion :) My Covermark Make-up and I'm with you, without mascara I look dead!

Well, I think a good cleanser and moisturizer wit a bit of spf for sunscreen then only a little mascara.

Maybe a little too practical............but i like to splurge on scrapbooking stuff instead.....how big would the box be that would hold my pictures and products???????????Ha

Have a great day

I may be too late to play - but I'm gonna post anyway. I am not a huge make-up person. I wear it for me when I feel like it. I'm turning 30 this year and I do find myself being a little more self conscious when I'm out and didn't wear it - like Saturday when I was with a friend who did have makeup on. If I had to pick 3 things - I would pick mascara - I love mascara, this Ultima II lipstick that has been discontinued and that I"m almost out of, and base makeup I guess.
