sunday musings...

I want to tell you a little story on this Sunday Night. Jaku and I met when were 19 years old. In 1991. April. We had our birthdays in June (we are both 71 babies: his birthday is on the 18th and mine on the 19th). Turned 20. He was in his first year med school. I was a Architecture-student-drop-out. We decided to get married. That December, on the 14th day we said our vows before God. Between April and December we wrote letters to one another. You have never seen the likes of it. I poured out my he{ART} to him. And he wrote the most beautiful prose to me. I have a stack of love letters from him. And he from me. And on this page, I scrapbooked one. Seeing this is the month of love, I thought to share this page of one of my love letters.

Thanks for all the comments! I enjoyed each and everyone of them. Even the emails, I pasted into a comment so that you can be in the draw!! THANKS ! I will do the draw tomorrow!

Then, Jennifer Davis was a runner up in a 2 peas contest!! Huge congrats girl! Her page is here.
I also thought this page was spectacular.

We went to big river this weekend. It's truly a time for us as a family to connect and spend some time together. Jaku does the locum for the doctor there, but is not very busy. So he also can take some deep breaths. My good friend Zizzilee and her daughter Gisela and son Markus is here from South Africa. Wonderful to have a little Hoesdpruit bush so near. Tosha, her husband is one of the most skilled game rangers I know. He does the most exciting game drives in the African Bush. Jaku took me on one of his safari's as a surprise on our 13th anniversary a few years ago. And I will never forget it. Great to have them here. Here is a stunning benediction to this Sunday....

Psalm 23. God, my shepherd! I don't need a thing. You have bedded me down in lush meadows, you find me quiet pools to drink from. True to your word, you let me catch my breath and send me in the right direction. Even when the way goes through Death Valley, I'm not afraid when you walk at my side. Your trusty shepherd's crook makes me feel secure. You serve me a six-course dinner right in front of my enemies. You revive my drooping head; my cup brims with blessing. Your beauty and love chase after me every day of my life. I'm back home in the house of God for the rest of my life.

Love and a kiss
