a better way.

my favorite song at the moment: a better way by downhere. I can listen to it again and again and again. You can find it on iTunes: Downhere.
here is the lyrics:
I'm not alone, I really believe
You never go, You never leave
Here and now, You always stay
"I love you" could not be said a better way

It's everything You've promised
There's no greater love than this
From prophets until today
A man laying down His life for His friends
Your sacrifice has spoken, You gave everything
And "I love you" could not be said
A better way

I am forgiven, I clearly see
It's why You came to do all you did for me
Trading earth with heaven, You took my place
"I love you" could not be said
A better way

Because You redeem, I know what's to come
Everything I could lose here, You've already won
So You have my surrender, with passion obey
"I love you" could not be said
A better way

today I am feeling generous. I will be giving away a lovely box filled with Making Memories goodies!! Leave me a comment... tell me what's your favorite song at the moment.
Yours faithfully
Wilna

WOW!!! I've never been the very first comment on anybody's blog. Love your work and inspirational words, Wilna, Thanks. I also have never won anything on anybody's blog. So I hope and pray that today is really the day. My fav song at the moment is from the Tamil movie 'Bheema'. I could translate but it would be too long a comment. It's a love song and it touches my heart. Fingers crossed, hope to win. Priya from India

My favorite song at the moment is " I Can Only Imagine". I went to a funeral this week and I keep singing this song in my head. They also sang the song "Blessed Be the Name" which was so powerful in the words... you give and take away. The funeral was for a 20 year old.
I read this blog all the time, but never comment. Sorry.

I am still hung on "Held" by Natalie Grant. It's a sad song but reminds us we truly are Held. I am also jammin' to the Dixie Chicks old stuff lately and I really love James Blunt. Especially the new acoustic version of "You're Beautiful". He has a very interesting voice in my opinion. Or you can be like Keli and say "That is an awesome song. Too bad it's not by Brad Paisley or someone else country." She is so country stubborn! :0) Can't wait to see you at the JSI crop!

lol.. at the moment my favorite song is RESPECT by Aretha Franklin. It's stuck in my head all day.
DH is a SAHD.. I am a counselor in psychiatry.. fulltime. I always dreamed of being a SAHM. Would love to spend time with my angels.. play.. and scrap and... Now at this time DH is in the hospital and I get my "dream" in a weird kind of way. I am blessed for having my 2 angels and blessed that I get to spend time with them but boy oh boy.. how I underestemated this...
My pink cloud thoughts of painting with my daughter and huggling my baby son....
I "tried" to do laundry.. which isn't too easy if you have an almost 3 year old desperately wanting to help and a 1/2 y.o. that's crying all day cuz he gets new teeth. I huggled and comforted as much as I could.. I cleand dirty diapers, runny noses.. 5 tipped over glasses of applejuice.. applesause on the floor.. potty accidents in the bathroom..kissed ouchies.. and YES .. I managed to PAINT with her.. YAY!!! It was so much fun but it's so much harder then I thought.. SAHM is a fulltime job.. therefor..
for all the SAHM in the world

One of my current favorites is a pop version of "Blessed Assurance," arranged by Timothy R. Smith. We are learning it in our church choir, and it's wonderful. Verse 3 is "Perfect submission, all is at rest; I in my Savior am happy and blest, watching and waiting, looking above, filled with his goodness, lost in his love."

Mine at the moment is "In my Daughter's Eyes". Must be because I'm soon to pop baby girl no 2.

Here are the words:

In my daughter's eyes, I am a hero
I am strong and wise, and I know no fear
But the truth is plain to see, she was sent to rescue me
I see who I wanna be, in my daughter's eyes.

In my daughter's eyes, everyone is equal
Darkness turns to light, and the world is at peace
This miracle God gave to me gives me strength when I am weak
I find reason to believe, in my daughter's eyes.

And when she wraps her hand around my finger
Oh it puts a smile in my heart
Everything becomes a little clearer
I realize what life is all about.

It's hanging on when your heart has had enough
It's giving more when you feel like giving up
I've seen the light
It's in my daughter's eyes.

In my daughter's eyes, I can see the future
A reflection of who I am and what will be
Though she'll grow and someday leave, maybe raise a family
When I'm gone I hope you see how happy she made me

For I'll be there...
In my daughter's eyes.

*Love* Your encouraging messages- so wonderful and uplifting. Bless you!
My favorite song all year has been
*Made to Worship* by Chris Tomlin

[ You and I were made to worship
You and I are called to love
You and I are forgiven and free
You and I embrace surrender
You and I choose to believe
You and I will see who we were meant to be

All we are
And all we have
Is all a gift from God that we receive
Brought to life
We open up our eyes
To see the majesty and glory of the King

He has filled our hearts with wonder
So that we always remember... ]

I can listen to this SONG for the rest of my life- stranded on an island- with only one song to listen to...yep. This is the song- I love breathing these words- it's positive and I hope it will bless you too. :)

Right now I'm humming "My Wish" by Rascall Flatts. This is the song I have picked to dance with my son at his wedding in March.(sniff...) It so perfectly says what I have always and will continue to wish for him at the start of his married life.

The song that has really been impacting me right now is Give Me Words to Speak by Aaron Shust.

Calloused and bruised
dazed and confused
My Spirit is left wanting something more
Than my selfish hopes
and my selfish dreams
I'm lying with my face down to the floor
I'm crying out for more (crying out for more)

Chorus:
Give me Words to speak
Don't let my Spirit sleep
Cause I can't think of anything worth saying
But I know that I owe You my life
So give me Words to speak
Don't let my Spirit sleep

Every night, every day
I find that I have nothing left to say
So I stand here in silence awaiting Your guidance
I'm wanting only Your voice to be heard
Let them be Your Words
Let them be Your words

This is my favorite song right now...

Don't Stop Dancing
by Creed

At times life is wicked and I just can't see the light
A silver lining sometimes isn't enough
To make some wrongs seem right
Whatever life brings
I've been through everything
And now I'm on my knees again

But I know I must go on
Although I hurt I must be strong
Because inside I know that many feel this way

Children don't stop dancing
Believe you can fly
Away...away

At times life's unfair and you know it's plain to see
Hey God I know I'm just a dot in this world
Have you forgot about me?
Whatever life brings
I've been through everything
And now I'm on my knees again

But I know I must go on
Although I hurt I must be strong
Because inside I know that many feel this way

Children don't stop dancing Believe you can fly Away...away

Am I hiding in the shadows?
Forget the pain and forget the sorrows
Am I hiding in the shadows?
Forget the pain and forget the sorrows

But I know I must go on
Although I hurt I must be strong
Because inside I know that many feel this way

Children don't stop dancing Believe you can fly Away...away

Have a great day Wilna!!

So here it is: I love all the words to the songs that Celine Dion sings and this particular song has 2 verses that mean the world:

My daughter was LONG awaited and was a true blessing as she was born when I was 42 via a surrogate. These are the words, which I am sure as a Mom, you can understand:

I was waiting for so long

For a miracle to come

And the world thought

I had it all

But I was waiting for

You

Hush, now I see a light

In the sky

Oh, it’s almost blinding

Me

I can’t believe

I’ve been

touched by an

angel with love

Aren’t they just so right for me. (don’t cry)

Happy weekend

Barbara
