Remembering...

this song today is really, really one of my favorites. Music to me is how I remember times and places and sometimes I will remember a perfume when I listen to a specific song. This song, breathe, was the song on which these two beautiful people and lifetime friends of ours walked into the garden on their wedding day in 2003. It was one of the most beautiful moments in my life. Knysna is one of the most exquisite places in South Africa. The day was cold and crisp. The music moving, and when they walked in together there was a reverent quiet. Only the wind. and their beauty. and love. Renier (a childhood friend of mine) was definitely one of the most profound influences in my life in learning and loving God and the Word. I am forever grateful for what He has taught us. The revelation of my right standing with God through Jesus was through his persistent and patient teaching of the Word. He is also a brilliant engineer. and Karina, is not only more than pretty but such a creative thinker and also loves life, God and her husband. They have the most adorable little guy... Ryno (almost 2) I am so thankful for them. Jaku and I love you guys with all our hearts. just love, love, love you.

God has been laying on my heart for a very long time to learn Romans 12: 1-3. So that's my mission for this week Romans 12: 1 I APPEAL to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship. 2Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]. 3For by the grace (unmerited favor of God) given to me I warn everyone among you not to estimate and think of himself more highly than he ought [not to have an exaggerated opinion of his own importance], but to rate his ability with sober judgment, each according to the degree of faith apportioned by God to him.

Have a happy, joyful day.
Love
Wilna

Hi Wilna,
Thanks for sharing the story and this breathtakingly beautiful photo! WOW! What a dress! I think it's truly the most beautiful thing I've ever seen...(and I don't usually even LIKE purple!)

How wonderful to have memories of a land so distant to so many of us. I've just recently "found you"...I will be watching your youtube Africa video right after this!

Blessings,

I found your blog a couple of weeks ago and I have been soooo inspired! I am also a believer in Christ and I always love to read what God has laid on your heart.
It's amazing how God leads people to what they need to read at different times in our lives.
Bless you.
Thanks!
