So much HAPPENING!

Yes, this year is off to a fast start. First of all let me say I am totally loving the pages that's been coming in for the 2008 challenge. I see how our creativity is already being stretched this early in 2008. I bought this (music) album by Leigh Nash on iTunes and I love it so much! It's called blue on blue. I have been listening to it today and it's inspiring creativity!

Then some SPECIAL news: I am doing an online VALENTINE class starting the 1st of February 2008. I am so excited about it. It's going to be lots of fun, fabulous projects and some freebies. I will be making some digital elements that will be available for free for all who register. If there is some girls in South Africa who wants to join, please email me. To get you all super excited about it, I am giving away the first 2 spots for FREE! So, leave me a comment (telling me what you love to do on Valentine) and I will draw two names tomorrow and you will receive the first and second spot in my class just because I love you! The picture here is a little hint for you. (wink-wink)

I am also excited because I will be doing the class using the fabulous Making Memories Love story collection. So you can start stocking up on that so long. Sigh, I love making memories!

Speaking of MM, I made a few note cards using the noteworthy collection and I added it to my store. Each purchase have a set of 4 note cards. I am excited about that too because I have to pay somehow for all my iTunes sales! : )

Ok, just so you know, my little blog store will always be small and I will try to keep it beautiful. I will NOT be mass producing stuff. Just little things that amuses me. And if it irritates me, I will take it down! : )

A thought for you today: Phil 2:13 (Message)
Be energetic in your life of salvation, reverent and sensitive before God. That energy is God's energy, an energy deep within you, God himself willing and working at what will give him the most pleasure.

Have a GREAT day!
Love and a kiss
Wilna

Hi Wilna. Your class sounds neat. Is it an online class or what. I am a little confused about the specifics so I don't know if I should leave a comment for the drawing or not!

Love your little blog store. You are so creative!

I would love to register for the class and I bet there is a gal I know (Jacqui, that's you) from SA that will want to join as well.
For Valentines, we always spend it together as a family as that is what my LOVE is - my family. Last year the kids and I made valentines cupcakes and I heart shaped pancakes. So much fun!

What a fabulous idea! I'm looking high and low for the "Love Story" collection...

For Valentine's Day, hubby and I usually order in a special dinner, which we have together, by candle-light, after the kids (all 4 of them :) ) have gone to bed...it's usually a quiet night for us these days...

Hi Wilna,
When Valentines Day works as it's SUPPOSED to (lol)my husband and I whisk away to a beachside cottage on the gulf in Florida and spend 3 glorious days lounging, loving and basking in the sunshine. The ocean is a very "spiritual" place for us...we see God so readily in creation!

On Valentines Day I plan on getting a wonderful massage from my hubby (he is a registered massage therapist) and I will cook him his favourite meal. Iam interested in your class but Iam a little confused about the details, do we all long on at one time? do the class together? or do you send us the info online? What if you don't have photoshop can you still sign up? Iam still working on my page, will send it to you soon! You are a very generous soul..

Hi Wilna! I am going to the Scrap, Etc. Event and can't wait to take your class. So, for Valentine's Day, I enjoy the simple little cards that you can buy at the drug store. The ones we used to get as kids. I love to get a bunch (I do have two kids that like them too) and then I pick some favorites and hide them for my husband to find during the day.

Its chocolate for us on Valentines Day. Lots of hugs and kisses from and to our two kids. Quiet dinner at home and homemade cards to share.
Would love to be part of your class, but I live in India and we dont get any scrapbooking stuff here, so I wont have any heart design papers. I could substitute other papers but it wouldnt be the same. Dunno what to do!!! Priya

Oh my! Wilna, I love to spend Valentine's with my 3 boys! Hubby and two sons!!

We usually do a fun dinner, and me and the boys get the house ready before Daddy gets home!

I am trying to teach them how to do things right!!!

Wilna,
first of all I wanted to say that I love your verse of the day and just love Phils!!

for Valentines I decorate my entire house with red and white balloons for my dd to wake up to and fix her breakfast in bed to show her how much I love her. I also use lipstick to write all over our mirrors to write her messages and put up hearts all over our doors so she can see them coming and going!

we love Valentine's -

thanks,
Diana

Hey Wilna

What a blessing to have found your site - just want to let you know how much you have inspired me with Simplify Amplify - not just to scrap but in my walk with Christ, my family, husband, friends, work -you name it!

Valentine's will be special this year as hubby and I have been together for 21 years!!!! So I'm busy with our 'LUV' album - who we were before we were together, and leading upto our wedding. I'm hoping to be done by the 14 Feb!

Once again - thank you for being an inspiration in my life!

Okay so I might be crazy but my babies ab=nd of course my husband are all of my Valentines. So I make up a goodie basket for each of them. I have a 2 1/2 y/o and for every Valentine he has been here, I have made him a card and wrote all kinds of gushy stuff in it and sealed it. and I will do them same for my Princess Bella this year(she is now 4 months) and when they get older or (God Forbid) anything was to happen to me they will have all of the letters they can read and see how much I loved them. I also do it for Halloween. I love them sooooo much and they will always be my Valentines. We also usually go out to dinner with our friends about 20 of us( 10 couples) to a good restaurant. ymmmmm

Ooooh! This sounds so exciting! On Valentine's Day I usually try and not get miserable (it's the worst day ever if you're single!). Last year I had a lunch date with a girly friend, and in the evening I went out with another friend, ate loads and went to the cinema. Just love surrounding myself with good friends on this day...love from friends is one of the best there is, so I generally just celebrate that!

Typically we go out to eat and exchange homemade gifties. We've done this since the kiddos were babies. Now they're 9 and 12 and we still do so. Homemade cards for everyone too.

Hi there,
Love your blog. My husband is a chef so he always works on Valentine's day. So my daughter and I have a special dinner and lots of chocolate! I always make both of them cards too.

Hi Wilna! On V-Day I love to go out and eat! My DH and I love to enjoy a good meal together and then ship the kids out for the night! Now, I am already looking forward to it this year! Thanks, Jane Hasty

I'm so excited! I just signed up for your class! I can't wait! :):):)

For Valentines Day, I make Valentines for everyone and make special little treats for everyone. I have a daycare for autistic and special needs children from low-income families and I try to make it as special as I can for each and everyone of them with a homebaked goodie for the families! Isn't it about spreading the "Love"!

If I should be so lucky as to win a spot I would like it to be given to the wonderful Christine Middlecamp who lost her husband to cancer on Saturday. She is an amazing scrapbooker with an amazing look on life and maybe this would make it a bit easier for her during this difficult time!

Have a great day!
Robin :)

Oh I'd love to learn more about your class. Like what do I need besides my computer in order to participate? And do I need a special program on the computer? (I've only got basics here - not real tech savy that's for sure!) Do we need to be available at a very specific time to do this or can we work at our leisure? Can you tell I've never done any kind of on line class before?

Valentines is my most favorite holiday of all. I love hearts and pink and red and hearts and sweets and all!!!! Did I mention that I love hearts? *lol* On valentine's day my favorite thing to do besides having dinner with my hubby is to call my best girlfriends and tell them how they sweeten my life (prior to that day I mail out about 50 hand-made valentines to all kinds of friends and family and especially those girlfriends who are going to get that phone call).

What fun! We usually spend Valentines together with our children having dinner out at a special place giving the kids a small candy treat. This year, my hubby is in a new job and will be working late so I'm planning a nice dinner with the kids and a Valentine swap!

That is an awesome idea. Love that you are giving away two spots. For us, we don't really do a whole lot on Valentine's. My DH doesn't have a romantic bone in his body so he probably wouldn't even know what day it was if you asked him. lol We usually just have a supper with the kids and then maybe watch a movie. I just started card making so maybe this year I will try to make him one. Thanks for the inspiration. I will definitely have to check out your class!!!

We share God's love by baking a LOAD of yummy cookies, decorated for Valentine's Day (of course), box them up in oh-so-pretty packages and take them to our neighbors! It's a great way to tell our neighbors how much we appreciate them and at the same time be a light in a dark world!

Well, this year for Valentine's Day I hope to get asked that one special question. My bf is very shy, so maybe the little gift made in your class will help the process :)

Thanks for giving away to class seats.
