Tuesday...

and a time of refreshing for me. we are having a ladies conference at our church and I LOVE it. Just to soak up the Word is awesome. Today I am giving away a little new Noteworthy RAK... (again a little box FULL of goodies) so tell me, what is your favorite recreational time... what puts that smile back on your face?

I love to hear from you.

Just read Psalm 45 in the Message Bible and it really sums up what my heart is for this blog... My heart bursts its banks, spilling beauty and goodness. I pour it out in a poem to the king, shaping the river into words...

Talk soon
Love and a kiss

I LOVE walking around town - seeing all the new leaves, the birds singing & feeding their young, the fluff starting to collect on the poplar trees and just LIFE.
I take my camera and just click away!

Don't enter me in your giveaway since I'm getting one of your banners, I just wanted to say that I love getting out in the woods and just wandering around. Just being surrounded by what God has made makes me forget about the little troubles in life.

Hi Wilna,
I am inspired and energized by being in the middle of God's creation...whether it's mountains, the beach, forests, or sunset by a local lake. I love to watch the little birds sing and dance and chirp...I am reminded that He will take care of me and I am assured of His great love: for me, for US!

Wilna- For recreation I love to go hiking! Just something about being in nature, and getting a workout at the same time. God's majesty is so evident in nature! For a fun twist on hiking we have discovered letterboxing where boxes are hidden along a trail with rubber stamps in them. You bring along a book and a stamp pad to record your finds. So fun. Google it. : ) Have a great day. -Alisa

I like outdoorsy stuff like hiking, fishing with my kids and gardening/farming. We have 4 acres that we farm so there's always plenty to do.

Hi Wilna,
My favourite thing to do is to spend time playing with my son and my husband on Sunday afternoon after church. We are refreshed by God's word in the morning and then we take the time to really enjoy each other's company with absolutely no other distractions (unless some friends want to play along, too) in the afternoon. It is lovely and sets me up for the next week of busyness.

My absolutely favorite thing is to take a Saturday off and do nothing but lay on the couch in my pajamas with a cozy blanket and a brand new book to read. For me, there is nothing like that fresh smell of a new hardback book and knowing I have hours to just sit and read.

It's even better if it is raining - I open the front door and feel the breeze and have the smell of the rain too!

Many things put the smile back on my face, but if I have to choose, I would say walking/sitting on the beach at SanLameer in KZN, South Africa, spending time in the SouthAfrican bush, taking an early, brisk walk in our neighbourhood, and of course, to scrapbook!!
Enjoy the ladies conference, may God refresh your mind and your soul!
Love - ingrid

For me it is the smile on my daughters face when she comes running towards me or simply look at me and says "my mom" and hugs me and touch my face...
My heart melts and everything else is forgotten:)
Have a nice day Wilna..

aside from hobbies (which I enjoy to do during my free time) I really like to watch movies. It takes my mind and clears it to watch the movie. very relaxing.

it is 00h45, and i should have been asleep hours ago! i will regret this later this morning. but, i am busy with one of my favouritest recreational activities - reading blogs! i'm sitting in bed, warm and cosy. with the man snorning beside me, and rain falling outside, with the laptop on my knees. first i worked a little on my own blog, and then i started surfing...

I would have to say that my most favourite recreational time has to be scrapbooking. This is probably why I'm feeling so frustrated at the moment as I haven't been able to get to doing anything for ages now. I'm missing being creative and recording my memories. Hope you enjoy your conference. Sounds like something I need right now! Take care Jacqui

I am refreshed being outdoors walking through God's creation...The woods, at the lake, seeing the sunrise the first thing in the morning, hearing the first birds of the morning. Feeling my husband hand on my hip in the middle of the night..Turning Praise and Worship Music on and listening to it while I clean or am crafting. Knowing He is always there to take care of me and provide for me. His love is AWESOME....

For myself, it's a new experience of being together with my family on SUnday evening as we watch the gorgeous sunset at our cottage before packing up to head home for the week. This past Sunday it was spectacular and as we (and our cottage neighbours) watched the sun sink inot the lake we all applauded...showing our appreciation for the wonderful gift.

today it was standing outside with a nice strong but not cold wind blowing against my body, it made me feel so free somehow, and it definitely made me smile!

Family vacations, especially to the ocean, fill me right back up with joy. But since we do that only once a year, the next best thing for me is probably going for a long hike in the woods!

I love sitting outside enjoying God's creation just as the evening sun goes down with a good cup of coffee--that fills my soul with peace. My husband and I just stepped inside from watching the lightning streak across the clouds. It was a marvelous display of God's power and handiwork. Also any time I get to spend with my sweet little granddaughter is sure to bring a smile.

I love to go for walks along the river near our house. It is so amazing there and my kids love it too. Thanks for all the inspiration Wilna!!

Sitting in the sand, or on a rock on the shore and listening to the waves crash and thunder against the rocks, feeling the wind in my hair, looking at the limitless sky, running my hand through sand wet or dry. Realizing the awesomeness of a God that created all of this.

(On the coast of Washington or Nova Scotia. Not someplace ferociously hot, although I know some would prefer the heat, not me)

Getting some "ME" time usually will put that smile back on my face :) I love being with my little daughter, but sometimes... well, a girl just needs to be away from the craziness!

Central Park and an ice-cream cone always calms and relaxes me. But Church also, more than the park. quick story: I was going through alot of stuff personally and all of a sudden was feeling overwhelmed and panic attack coming on we had family visiting from Detroit and I was happy did not understand what was happening, we were near St. Patrick's in NYC and I said lets go in to see. My mom looked at me and said that ask I was praying that she noticed something different about me. I have not fealt panic or overwhelmed anymore that was last year. So must say Church grounds me and makes me feel like I am so not alone and do not have to fix everything and everyone. Thank you for your beautiful blog and beautiful heart! Hugs Grace

Going for a walk and listening to the quite voice of God ... that is the way to get my smile back after a rough day. I've had quite a few lately and getting some exercise helps. I giggle a bit afterward too because I walk and talk to God and lately I've wondered if I ended up talking out loud to HIM as I get lost in the experience ... if I did talk outloud or even if my mouth was moving then I'm sure some folks might think I'm really strange! *ha!*

I love to do anything with my family... park time, walks, bike/ scooter rides, swimming, etc. I especially love going to Disneyland and Sea World and to the beach. We just returned from Sea World and the beach this weekend and it was definitely what we all needed! It was wonderful to get away and just be us!
I love your blog, the colors are great!

for me it's playing whiffle ball in the back yard with my guys after we've gotten out of the pool, or maybe it's playing frisbee with my guys, or jumping on the trampoline with my guys. It doesn't matter what we do as long as we do it together. I am so blessed!

My favorite thing is sitting on the end of the dock with my feet in the water. Just thinking and reflecting and watching people play in the water. Its just a quiet spot where every thing seems to slow down.

I have a few favorites - one is a day like today. I've been running and then cleaned the house. Now I'm making tea and will sit and read and just enjoy, knowing there are no 'chores' waiting for me.
Another favorite is walking, especially through a wooded area or by water - the ocean would be my first choice, but since I'm a little far from one right now, I make do with lakes and rivers!
And of course scrapbooking/crafting and producing something I know will put a smile on someone else's face. That makes me smile too :o)
