Take heart.

I read this piece of scripture the other day and I wanted to share it here...Mark 16: 1-3 When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so they could embalm him. Very early on Sunday morning, as the sun rose, they went to the tomb. They worried out loud to each other, "Who will roll back the stone from the tomb for us?"

How many times do we worry about things... we worry about our future, children, finances, relationships and so so so many things... These women worried about a BIG STONE that was in their way... we all have stones don't we? well let's look at what happened:
4-5Then they looked up, saw that it had been rolled back—it was a huge stone—and walked right in.
Is this not amazing? When they looked up it was taken cared of. Psalm 121 says 1-2 I look up to the mountains; does my strength come from mountains? No, my strength comes from God, who made heaven, and earth, and mountains. (and stones) Sometimes we should be reminded to just look up. Waiting on God in the Bible means to expect and look and long for Him [for His victory, His favor, His love, His peace, His joy, and His matchless, unbroken companionship] (Isa 30:18)! Almost like a kid on Christmas morning... checking if the presents are there every 5 minutes... just excited! I challenge you this morning to get your excitement on and start expecting GOOD THINGS today. LOOK UP!

But there's more... look what happened next to the women: 4-5Then they looked up, saw that it had been rolled back—it was a huge stone—and walked right in. They saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed all in white. They were completely taken aback, astonished. 6-7He said, "Don't be afraid. I know you're looking for Jesus the Nazarene, the One they nailed on the cross. He's been raised up; he's here no longer. You can see for yourselves that the place is empty. Now—on your way. Tell his disciples and Peter that he is going on ahead of you to Galilee. You'll see him there, exactly as he said."Not only was the stone rolled away when they looked up... BUT God went beyond their wildest expectations to even provide an angel! God didn't leave them in the dark about what was happening but TOLD them through an angel. If you think about it, He didn't have to do that! God even directed their steps... and told them not only what happened but what to do next. That's His character and commitment to us.. He will always do far more than we care to expect and even to hope for. That's God's awesome nature... He is the best parent in the world. Eph 3: 20-21God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.

So to sum it up: Don't worry! Look up to Him! He will make an amazing way for you!
Have a beautiful day... filled with His peace!
Much Love
Wilna

Beautifully said Wilna, thank you for sharing that truth with us, it is something we all need to remember in these days... there could always be something to worry about but we don't need to. God's blessings!

Such great truth and a wonderful reminder for me today. I've been a bit 'down' lately and this just might be God's way of speaking gently to me. Thank you for allowing Him to use you, Wilna. I love you so much and appreciate your insights and encouragement!

Thankyou dear Wilna. We are praying for a new way (premises) for our little kindergarten, and we have to keep away from worrying ...

I've never thought about this reading in this way before. I mean, I've never focused on the stone. It's always been about the resurrection, kwim?

Do you ever wonder if God gets frustrated with us pitiful humans? Sometimes I can almost picture him shaking his head and thinking, "they worry about the stone! I'll take care of the stone--all they have to do is marvel at what will be revealed when the stone has been moved out of their way."

Dear Wilna- Thank you for your words...or His words but thanks for once again speaking the truth that I need to hear. I was laid off from my job two weeks ago so you can imagine the confusion, hurt, sadness and grief I have been experiencing as there was no warning this was coming. I do have peace among the tears because He has given me a peace I haven't experienced before. He is amazing and tho' others pressure me to be "out there hitting the pavement" immediately I know God has a plan. Your words help relieve the pressure. Thankyou.

Thank you for reminding me of that fact Wilna! I really needed to "hear" that to keep me focused. It is amazing that we always "know" what to do, but often times we forget we "know" it. Be Blessed!!
