Today. And a question...

The winner of yesterday's RAK is Amber! please email me by clicking the yahoo button in the right sidebar!

Then today I am getting ready to scrapbook with my first Jenni Bowlin kit. It's totally exquisite. Please click here and see what the amazing Keisha did with the January Kit. I mean... just speechless. drool. My husband is working the late shift tonight so, I am going to be scrapbooking! Our homeschool is going strong again and today we have pajama day. The girls love it so much. And just so you know, i am dressed!

Francois wrote this amazing piece today and I want to share it with you. It just entered and blessed my heart so deeply today. There is so much that he said in this piece that you can read it over and over again.
Every contradiction has only one agenda, to get us to immediately forget what manner of person we are by His design, and His grace. The Word is not nearer to you some times than other times it is always in your mouth and in your heart As much as your lungs and every other organ is part of your physical make-up, so is His word, His eternal thought revealed in Christ as in a mirror is your constant reference your next thought, your next breath is not closer to you than His Word, ponder it breathe it speak it fluently! Your voice is His light always, always dispells darkness effortlessly and immediately His rest is founded upon what His faith knows and sees and speaks! He invites us to see and say the same!

The question i want to ask... how many of you who reads my blog would love to start digital scrapbooking? Or maybe you have begun but want to learn more? Leave me a comment and it might just be worth your while.

much love

Digital scrapbooking looks like it could be fun but to be honest I don't like the way most people do it - I think they use freebies - it looks cheap & very articificial. The way you & Shimelle do it looks completely authentic so I'd like to do it "your way" but I don't have 6 months of free-time to play around in Photoshop & teach myself how to do it. That's what puts me off the most. I have tons of scrappy stash I need to use up so if I have a couple of hours free time I rather make a paper layout. Maybe you could consider doing a basic step-by-step for complete beginners, even if only for one of your pages. (ie:- how you put it all together)

I thought I would never be interested in digital, until I started seeing the numbers of pages being completed by some people in blog land. Wow, it's pretty enticing. Not to mention they look absolutely fabulous. But...good grief where to begin. I've tried looking around, but it all starts to get confusing. I need a beginner course or something like that. Can't wait to see what you have in mind.

I would love certain aspect of digital scrapbooking to do backgrounds, but I feel compelled also to have my real elements to have dimension on my layouts! Would love to try for sure!

I would love to learn! We don't have a fast enough computer to run the software though. So, until I can afford that I'm still trying to use up my paper.

I have just started dabbling in digi - purely by using Ali's overlays and wordart. I have Photoshop 7 and am completely daunted by what it offers! But i would love to be able to use it to it's full potential, and from a time point of view, I would imagine that digi-scrapping is a little quicker than paper?

But i'm determined to try to accomplish more on the digi side this year.

Thank you for sharing a such an inspirational few words today.

Last year I tried my first class and I was amazed by the results BUT I tried on my own and never tried again. I see all your beautiful pages especially like the one of your girls and I would love to give it a try again but I need help.

I've just recently started digi scrapping (My December daily is on Flickr -"Childhood is calling") I use the Microsoft editing program at this stage as I still don't really know my way around PSE. I love how flexible, quick and mess free digital layouts are. I would also love more info on how you do your layouts, Wilna, as they are amazing.

Hi Wilna.
I would really love to learn how to do digital scrapbooking simply and easily. I think that way all the little memorable happenings in my life will find a way onto a page quickly! You make it seem sooooo easy! And I love your style.

You always have such encouraging words on your blog. Thank you!
I am working on a calendar for this year, and I am making a digital page for each month. It is slow-going for me, but I am learning as I go. I would love to learn more about digital scrapbooking.

I forgot to leave my name with my comment. I am Julia Irene and I left the comment about the calendar. =)

I have tried digital scrapbooking and I love it but mostly I have used templates. Just making my own page from scratch seems so scary.

I have just started digital scrapbooking and have only been doing it for a few months. I would love to learn more and how to finish my pages quicker than a traditional layout. (ha!) I want to learn to make the best out of my kits. I love templates but I want my work to look more - me? You know? How do you keep your style while digital scrapbooking since all the elements are not your own? (I like to make my own traditional elements).

I'd love to start scrapbooking digitally but my computer won't support anything more than my Word program right now :( and I love getting messy so...for now, I'm slightly hybrid, at best.

I have just begun to dabble in digital scrapbooking but I am in need of LOTS of instruction! I love being able to move things around and change things up. When I paper scrap, it feels like such a commitment when I tape it to my page-unable to move it without leaving a mess, but with digi scrapping I don't have that phobia! I love all the resources out there to help me!

I like to use some aspects of digital scrapbooking (journaling, calendars, some other elements)but I really enjoy the hands on part of scrapbooking since I spend too much time on the computer for work, paying bills, etc.

As a mother of a very tiny little baby who likes to be held(ALOT) digital scrapbooking sounds very appealing. It is almost impossible for me to do any type of traditional scrapbooking(which I love). Carving out time to pull out supplies and work on layouts seems years away. I would love to learn how to preserve memories and tell our family stories with less fuss and mess.

Hi Wilna - Absolutely! I have PSE but keep pressing the wrong buttons and then getting lost. I also would like to learn how to resize, fade, blend and do shadows .....

My reasons for going digi are: saving space, going green and to enjoy & share my favourite photos in a slide show format, at home.

I have been wanting to start digital scrapbooking for ages. I love love LOVE scrapbooking but balancing church activities, family life and work, I don't have the time to do as much as I would like. Doing it digitally would be so much quicker and easier but just haven't a clue where to start. Your pages always look so amazing and I'd love to know how to do them.

I would love to learn digital scrapbooking. Especially from you. The way you do it, it looks so beautiful and organic. Sometimes it tends to look a little flat and so obviously digital. Help us, Wilna! :)

I'm curious about what this digital scrapbooking is and how it compares to regular scrapbooking. Is it easier? Less time consuming? I would really like to try it but just have no idea where to begin.
Thanks.

I've been dabbling in digital since getting Corel Paintshop on my computer at work. Mostly through tutorials I've found online. I got Photoshop Elements for home this Christmas along with a Bamboo and pen. I'd love to know how to do digital pages that go beyond the basic.

I still use digital mostly for hybrid layouts. I do the odd total digital layout. I'm feeling like I'm getting the hang of most of it...but know I can learn soooo much more. I've actually taken a class by Kayla Aimee, and also learned a few tips from your tutorials with your classes. Thank you for that!!
I'd love to learn more about making my own elements, brushes, alphas and overlays to use. However, I only have PSE...that might not even be possible for me right now?!
