The Crafter’s Workshop/Balzer Designs Blog Hop!

I am so happy to be a part of this blog hop as Julie has been such an artful inspiration in the scrapbooking community.  She's been working with the Crafters workshop to bring us these wonderfully creative stencils... made of a poly material which means it can take a lot of hammering and paints and glues and other stuff. For this Blog hop, the Leaf grid stencil is featured and any of you who know me, know I love a grid. Love!
So, i experimented quite a bit with different media and in the end i used a wet paint technique... where I paint over the stencil with wet paint (in an aqua green color) and i loved how it flooded below the stencil. Then I painted it again with white paint (less wet) and then i used a grey marker and drew some leaves over the white paint. In the end, I used some molding paste and just added a bit here and there for some texture. as you can see, the effect of the page is soft with splashes of color from the Amy Tan embellishments.
Next, hop to Tammy's blog... and see other creative ways to use the leaf grid stencil.
here is a list of the 5 blog hop participants:

Julie Fei-Fan Balzer
Wilna Furstenberg (you are here)
Tammy Tutterow
Dion Dior
Joanne Sharpe

The soft colors that you used are fabulous and the way that the finished page is a sewed frame for the pictures does not overwhelm them.
Thanks for sharing.
